In the end of the pledge of allegiance it states,” For liberty and justice for all”. Anybody who recites the pledge of allegiance is saying an oath of loyalty to the United States. When an oath is broken an honorable rule is being disobeyed. In the United States everybody has the right to go to school and get an education. Is it right to deny someone the opportunity to reach higher education if they have good moral character and good grades just because they are different. In 2009 the Dream Act was re-introduced to the U.S House of Representatives but a senate filibuster blocked it the end of last year. Now million of students are being denied the basic opportunities for higher education, just because they are immigrants. Can the United States be called a state of equality and “Justice for all” if its denying a good and pure purpose.
	The Dream Act is an acronym for Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors. This act was first introduced August 1, 2001, and was brought up recently. This act basically is to give the students the same opportunities to reach higher education and eventually be able to receive permanent residency by following the requirements. If this act is approved these students would have the opportunity to apply for financial aid, scholarships, certain schools, and eventually be able to receive permanent residency which can lead to citizenship. 
	The cost of higher education now a days is so expensive many students end up taking up loans, scholarships, financial aid, grants and working just to be able to pay it off. With the economy at its worst people have gone different ways in order to learn. Being in mass debt when they graduate, working part time and studying, commuting to save money, attending community colleges and many other ways are what students are doing. Some students the only reason they are attending college is because they have financial aid or some other source helping them. Did you know for immigrants who have lower than a permanent residency they are denied or excluded from many sources of help? There are not many scholarships available for them also a lot of them end up not qualifying for financial aid even though they need help or a great students.  No person should be denied the ability to study just because they are unwilling to pay. Every student who is attending college or a university is receiving some help in order to study. I personally do not know anybody who has that much amount of cash to pay college by themselves.  Imagine if this was the way for all U.S students, how many educated people would there be if this were the way? Some intelligent mind out there in the world could find the cure for cancer, invent something useful, make society a better place, know how to get us out of debt, discover something out of this world, be the future president of the U.S. If we deny students the ability to study because of money we are affecting our future and the future of this country.
                     In the U.S we celebrated Martin Luther King Day to remember that it does not matter what is on the outside but what is in the inside and what we can bring to the world. We also celebrate equality on that day because some how we all connect and we all can help each other. Without the Dream Act approved we are segregating students of all people the ability to study just because they do not have certain paperwork. Is wanting to learn such a bad thing? Without this approved we are blocking students the ability to reach and fulfill there full potential. Many people come to the U.S to start a new and better life because their old country is not grand as this one. Does the U.S in the end have a good reputation if we are not allowing something has simple as this? 
 With the Dream Act approved it will bring success to our country because this is our future. If the U.S was a country of all educated people doing good things what a nation that would be.
