Looking at High School now it is easy to see all the things we loved about it all the glimmering memories that we felt were worth remembering. It is hard though for us to think back and really remember how melodramatic we were how intense it all seemed. The break ups, the acne, the uncertainty of whether or not you made the team, and the over all insecurity.
This collage was made for the graduating class of 2008, who would now be college Juniors. This is reminding me and others of how outdated we already are but how consistent the main struggles and worries are with the young community. There are certain things that just never change like peer relationships, boyfriends, tests, dances, and overall figuring out what is worth while in your life.
Looking at this in relation to the three main topics we discussed about images in class Linguistic, Symbolic, and Literal my image takes a bit of all three. Linguistics (words) are used and used often within this image to symbolize the underlying thoughts of this teens insecurities. Symbolically this represents an underlying feature in each and every one of our lives as college students and that is a past in a high school setting. When quite literally this image conveys a bubble filled with images with a background of clouds. The clouds are used to symbolize the consistency of the human experience through the United States Public High School System.
The thought bubble is the main focus of this piece. You will see that while on the surface there are many great things that happen when you are 15, 16, 17, [getting a new car, making new friends, going out to eat and never gaining a pound, joining a team, celebrating your age and your high school status] it is much more difficult to really relive the number of insecurities.
What is vital to remember is that more than any other experience, including college, high school is what shapes us. Do we care about status or are we more interested in meeting a couple of cool people? What music do we like? What hair styles do we wear, what clothes do we wear? There is a reason for your parents still do their hair in an 80's metal band up-do and for your grandparents wearing pants that are too high on the waist. It is because it was cool when they were young. I know for one thing for sure I am not going to wear high waited pants when they come back in style. Creating this image gave me a lot of interesting thing to think about.

I created a collage which no matter where I obtained the images when put together in a brand new combination with different intent become a work of art completely separate from what they used to represent.

You write this one sentence which is, "There are certain things that just never change." Then you kind of just leave that thought hanging without going into it further. However, I think that thought would be worth looking into, because you can analyse what your collage has that wouldn't change between the generations, and what would. I would think that the desire to be beautiful is the same, but has the definition of what beauty changed? How is beauty defined in this collage?
As for grammar, this is not my forte but I did notice a comma missing in this phrase, "including college high school" ( I think it should be after college?) And also this sentence is awkward, "There is a reason for your parents still doing their hair in an 80's ..." I think you meant to say "your parents are"
Other than that, I think it is a good start to analyzing your image, you just need to develop the analysis more.. ^_^
